Your stay at Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa – Terms and Conditions
All Bookings
The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings whether made online on the hotel website or made by telephone or in person. When you make a booking, your contract (which includes these terms and conditions) will be with Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa. All rates are subject to availability, all bookings are taken at the discretion of Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa. The hotel has a minimum age requirement of 18 years old for booking a hotel room. If you arrive at the hotel and are under 18 years of age you will not be permitted to stay alone. We may require photo ID as proof of age.
Payment & pay as you go
You will be asked to guarantee your booking with a debit or credit card including your 3 digit security code. We accept MasterCard Credit, MasterCard Debit, Visa Credit and Visa Debit. All bookings are to be paid in full on arrival. Additionally, goods and services are to be paid for as you go (pre-authorisation or room charges will not be available).
What happens if you need to cancel?
Flexible bookings can be cancelled for a full refund before 12pm the day of arrival. Later cancellations or no-show will be charged at full room rate. Promotional, all-inclusive and advance rates are non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of cancellation. For cancellation policies on corporate arrangements, please refer to individual contracted terms and conditions. For food & beverage bookings where a card is taken as security (i.e. Sunday Lunch promotion), if a reservation is cancelled within 24 hours of dining time, then the card will be charged at the promotion rate.
Cancellation by Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa
Very occasionally, we may have to cancel your booking. We will tell you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative accommodation of the same standard, or higher, or offer a full refund. We regret we cannot pay compensation or any reimbursement of any expenses or costs you may incur as a result of any such cancellation or change.
Force Majeure
Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of the contract is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to “force majeure”. Circumstances amounting to “force majeure” include any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your accommodation (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your stay) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity, epidemic and all similar situations beyond our control.
Valuables
No responsibility can be accepted by the hotel for the safety of money or valuables of any kind brought to the establishment. The Hotel will not be liable, under any circumstances whatsoever, for damage, injury or loss, however caused, to our residents, their property and belongings unless it is solely due to negligence of the Company, its employees or agents.
Rates
All rates quoted are per room per night, are subject to availability and include Value Added Tax (VAT) & Services. Special rates quoted cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, offer or promotion except Leisure break vouchers. Supplements will be applied for single and family room occupancy and when Premium, Deluxe or Suites are selected.
Children’s Policy
Accommodation:
– Accommodation for up to two children aged 16 or under is free when sharing with two adults in a standard guest bedroom; a single supplement applies when only one adult is in the room.
– Upgrade charges apply for larger rooms.
-Rooms cannot be booked solely for guests aged under 18 years
– Additional rooms for children aged 6 to 16 will benefit from a 50% discount on the adult rate, excluding sales and pre-payable rates.
– To accommodate a family in our guest bedrooms, in some cases a foldaway bed will be used. Should you require a cot, please ask at the time of booking.
Meals:
– Breakfast is free for children aged 5 and under.
– Breakfast for children 6 to 12 is charged at £5.00.
– Children 5 years and under can choose a free two-course children’s meal with a full paying adult.
– Children’s menu available for children up to 12 years and charged as taken.
– Children between 6 and 12 may order from the restaurant menu and benefit from a 50% discount.
– Children over 13 are classed as young adults and pay full rate for meals as taken.
– Family dining times may apply.
Food & Beverage
Room service is no longer available. Please contact the hotel with any special dietary requirements.
Car Parking
Car parking is available at the hotel. Your room booking does not guarantee a parking space and if you find the car park is full, you will be given directions to the nearest alternative site. Parking your car is entirely at your own risk and we cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for theft or damage to your vehicle or other property howsoever caused.
Mobility Impaired
Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa complies with the access requirements of local disability legislation. If you have special requirements please inform us at the time of booking.
Check In and Check Out
Check in is from 3pm and check out is 11am. If you plan to arrive after 7pm, please advise the hotel. Failure to notify of late arrival may result in your room being resold, and our cancellation terms will apply.
BAZAAR Spa
Beauty treatments and/or access to the Spa MUST be pre-booked & will be charged as taken.The minimum age for entry for Spa is 16 years (if accompanied by an adult). The minimum age for treatments is 18.
Opening times: 7am – 9pm
Complimentary access to the gym at The Lodge for guests aged 18 years and over. Opening hours 7am-9pm
Golf Breaks
When you book a golf break, please contact the hotel to arrange a suitable tee time.
Smoking Policy
Shrigley Hall is a smoke free property and a charge of £250 will be applied should smoke be evident or evidence of smoking, in a bedroom or no-smoking area and/or evidence exists that fire detection heads have been tampered with.
Guest Behaviour
Behaviour of guests and their visitors should not be excessive or rowdy, and must not cause annoyance, distress or embarrassment to staff or fellow guests. Threatening, offensive or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to recover from the person making the booking, or the party, any discretionary compensation payment or discount we may have to give other guests. This includes damage to the hotel building, fixtures, fittings and flood damage. Failure to comply may result in the booking being cancelled or the party being asked to leave immediately if, at our sole discretion, we feel the conditions have been infringed. The account will be due in full and no refunds will be given in these circumstances.
Damage & Cleaning Policy
You must not damage, abuse, deface or interfere with any items or property belonging to us. If you do so we may terminate your booking. You must bring any damage to our hotel or property to our immediate attention. We may either (at our sole discretion) request the immediate re-payment of our reasonable costs during your stay, charge the payment card details provided at the time of booking or instruct a third party to contact you after your stay to recover the reasonable costs for any repair, replacement or specialist/deep cleaning we incur if you damage our hotel or property. Costs will also be incorporates when the room cannot be let the following day due to damage caused and subsequent repair or cleaning required. If you request it we will send a breakdown of these costs to the address used for the booking.

Promotions and Reader Offers
Your promotional or reader offer package will be based on two guests, sharing a standard double or twin bedroom. Each hotel allocates a limited number of bedrooms to these promotional offers and once the allocation has gone, you will be offered the next best available price. These offers are valid on new bookings only and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, offer or promotion. The same children’s policy applies to all promotional bookings. The usual single occupancy and upgrade supplements apply.
